Week 10!

After much thought, the 5 items that I have chosen are watch, handphone, bracelet, wallet and a sunglasses. All this 5 items can be combine into a device that can be worn on your wrist. The phone can down sized to the size of a watch. It could still function as a phone and it could also tell the time. As for the wallet, the watch sized phone could have a software which stores your card information. The software could work just like having your credit card in hand. Using the analogy of the use of the sunglasses, the watch sized phone would be able to detect the brightness or the darkness of the surrounding. The phone will adjust the brightness of the screen based on what it detects. This function will be able to protect our eyes.

STEPS ON HOW TO CATCH A CRAB

STEPS ON HOW TO CATCH A CRAB:

Firstly we just need to find a spot where crabs like to hang out such as underneath the jetty. We do not need to go to the open sea. Secondly we just need the crab trap and a dead fish as a bait. We do not need a hook like how we need to catch a fish. Next, We just need to put the bait in the trap and release the trap gentle into the water by using a long rope. Then we just have to wait for at least 15mins for the crab to enter the trap. Upon pulling the trap up back to the jetty, we need to pull it fast.

This is a video on catching a crab in Singapore.

Breaking the rules!

Location: near Zhenghua Park( Located right along BKE)
Right along BKE, Zhenghua park, is the place that I have chosen which captured my five senses. Firstly, what I've seen at the place which captured my attention is the "kampong spirit". What I see was people from different ages gather at that area even though they are not doing the same thing. The feeling of hearing youth playing their games, old folks laughing and talking to each other brings out serenity for me. Plus the smell of nature puts me at ease. Zhenghua park, brings me back to my care free childhood days where my late grandmother would bring me back to the village.

Breaking The Rules!

This week I will be talking more about breaking the rules. I will be sharing on how people creatively invent as time pass. One of the things that I think is very interesting and captured my attention are motorbikes! Which i use everyday in my daily life. Motorbike were first invented with 2 wheels. As time goes by, inventors started to invent motorbikes which could cater to people's needs. Such as 3-wheels bike and 4-wheels bike. As for the bike with one wheel, I think it is mainly catered for people who are looking for some adrenaline rush.

                                          creatiwittyblog.com
I would really like to have an office like this where we can have fun while working on the task or project given. This will make the company grow further with employees applying creativity in their work. This will also help employees to reduce their level of stressfulness. I wish this kind of office would be available in the future of Singapore.

Tim Brown Video

1) Tim Brown Video: Tales of creativity and play

What I think about the video is that Tim Brown brought up a very useful and creative way for an adult to think creatively on their work or projects and he also mentions on ways for us to work better by putting some playing time in it. An example of designing the work place into a fun place to work such as google office in swiss where they have slides in the building. This kind of designs makes the office not boring. If possible, it will be fun if NAFA or the lecturer can implement this kind of techniques in their way of teaching. This will make the students feel better and always looking forward to come to school. An example of giving more practical lesson rather then just plain theory such as outdoor activities or excursion. Further more, the design of the school can be design in a manner where student can release their stress and comfortably do their work or projects. All this can help the students have a better and creative idea on their task given in school. This will also help the school to have more student interested in joining NAFA for their further studies.
